The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University was established on April 13, 1994 through ordinance no. 5/1994 of the Gujarat legislative Assembly. Its first study centre-0101 was started at L. D. Arts College in 1995. It is the largest study centre in Gujarat where the following courses are offered:

Certificate Courses : CTN, CIC, CTM, CMT, CCCD, CPCS , CTE, CES, CWDL, CCP, CPFM, CCSE, CCC, CTBA, CCBP, CYC, CIN, CIHNV, CINC, CIMR, CICP, CHM, CGT, CGV, CPRIM,CRW, CEA, CEC, CCHC,CCAC, CPCI.
Diploma courses : PGDDE, PGDEM, PGDPM. PGDSD, PGDED, PGDEE, PGDGE, PGDNR, PGDAR, PGJMC, PGDRD, DCE, DHF, DCH, DDT. DACA, DIT, DOR, DMCH, DVHW, DGP, VYTT.
Master Degree Courses: MSW, MEG, MHD, MSO, MGT, MADE, MVPM, MVRE
Bachelor courses: BA, B.COM, BPP, BLIS.
Office timings: 12-00 to 5-00 pm on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Academic Counsellors :

Faculties from prestigious institutions such as the B. K.School of Management, Rollwala computer Centre, L. D. Engineering college and Gujarat Vidyapith offer their services as counsellors here. Classes are conducted on Saturday evenings and on Sundays from 9 am to 5 pm.
